As part of the education debate, the business association of the leading PR and communication agencies in Germany (GPRA) has dealt intensively with the subject of PR internships. The minimum standards defined in this context form the basis of our internship training for us as a GPRA agency

Internship (m/f/d)

Learning goals

  • Get to know agency life (including the difference between agencies and companies and whether agency systems suit your own personality)
  • Get to know the job profile (Entry and promotion opportunities, further career and training perspectives)
  • Basics of PR or communication (including the diverse spectrum of this occupational field, even if practical experience is not possible in all areas)
  • Basics of project management
  • Effective work in a team
  • Basics of media observation incl. Initial views on qualitative evaluation methods
  • Basics of database work (press distributor etc.)
  • Fundamentals of media work (journalist contacts, blogger relations, etc.)
  • Collaboration on the creation of texts (channel-independent)
  • Learning of research techniques
  • Introduction to an office / agency environment
  • Learning to work independently and being responsible for own small projects

Requirements for the interns

  • A levels / high school diploma
  • Enrolled as a student / other qualifications
  • Dealing with MS Office
  • English skills
